About

Marc Ostrovsky

I studied Biblical Hebrew, Attic Greek and Latin in college (1977). Since that time I have read extensively in many subjects always searching for where everything arose. The Warrior stories reflect that obsession though the search is centered on the whereabouts of the self. The Felt story is about a Jewish cowboy, though no one else knows he is a Jew. The Undertaker or The Demise of Savas, a nominal Jew, is about a man who loses his soul despite his fight to retain it. The Commonwealth Day School is a non-fictional piece about racism and the downfall in 1989 of this elementary school located on Brattle St, Cambridge, MA, next to Harvard.
